Hello, I am also researching my family tree and have discovered that my oldest ancestor is Georg Friedrich Dorsten, who had children in the Prussian (now Polish) town of Lubawka. There, the surname changed to two variants: Dorst and Dorsch. My ancestor then emigrated to the Kingdom of Bohemia, where the surname Durst became established. According to my DNA test, my family comes from the area of today's Netherlands and its surroundings. Is it possible that we are related in some way? The link to the page I mentioned is my website, which I administer, but I apologize in advance that it is currently only available in Czech.

heb alles na ongeveer 6 mnd weer opgenomen wat betreft familie onderzoek.ga nu echt weer me in de zaken verdiepen. gaat wel moeilijk worden, weet ik.Ben nog steeds opzoek naar Klaas van Dorsten, Lingen, die grote landstukken bezat. Als me dat zou lukken, rechtstreeks verbinding met mijn goede vriendin die in Zuid-Afika woont, waarschijnlijk bekend. zij stamt volgens haar direkt af van Borchard van Dorsten. Ok volgens mijn hebben we eerder kontakt gehad, stuurde volgenns mij "der Hirt von Neuenhaus". Ga me nu verder verdiepen in de zaak dwz familie onderzoek.Bekende van mij in ZA is Yvonne van Dorsten, klopt er iets van haar stamboom? Nu genoeg, gr Herman van Dorten, Koijärvi, Finland.
