In addition to the still existing family trees, there are also a lot of family trees (larger and smaller) and loose information that no longer have (known name bearing) descendants, but may eventually be related to them. This data can be found especially in the Netherlands and the two German federal states of North Rhine-Westphalia and Lower Saxony. The hope and intention is to relate this as much as possible to known family trees.

Dordrecht – This is a rich and extensive family tree that has produced quite a few famous people and has been mentioned several times in genealogical documentation. Perhaps this is related to the still existing family tree with the name Van Dorsser.

Netherlands North East – In the North East part of the Netherlands it seems that most of the data found are related and possibly related to the family trees of Neuenhaus, Zwartsluis and Steenwijk.

Netherlands Central (Utrecht) – In the (central) province Utrecht there have always been many reports of both Van Dorssen and Dorsten. The first (known) reports concerned the old Utrecht family Van Dorssen, who already appeared around 1300 with several members in the episcopal administration.

Netherlands West (Holland) – In the west of the Netherlands with the provinces of North and South Holland, there have of course been various branches (small and large) from the well-known family trees. Outside of this, mainly small twigs and loose data have been found.

Netherlands South – In the south of the Netherlands were not many reports. Only in North Brabant there are several reports, but especially Van Dorst (coming from the village near Breda). Yet there has also been a considerable stock of Van Dorsten in Breda.

Outside the Netherlands – Outside the Netherlands, logically of course, branches have mainly been found in Germany (especially in the federal states of Lower Saxony and North Rhine-Westphalia) in the vicinity of Dorsten. In addition, some individual reports in the rest of Europe and the United States.
