One originated in Dortmund, the other in Dinslaken. There is still much to discover here if the church books are examined further.<\/p><p><strong>Ancestor Analysis<\/strong><\/p><p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-3621 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/van-dorsten.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/Stamboom-Roergebied-Stamreeks.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"578\" height=\"346\" srcset=\"https:\/\/van-dorsten.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/Stamboom-Roergebied-Stamreeks.jpg 578w, https:\/\/van-dorsten.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/Stamboom-Roergebied-Stamreeks-300x180.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 578px) 100vw, 578px\" \/>The current ancestor of Dortmund is called August, married around 1900 and had children in the following twenty years. Little else is known about it. Dinslaken&#8217;s current ancestor is called Johann, married Elisabeth Gehrmann in 1872, and was a factory worker. Furthermore, there are the following starting points and observations:<\/p><ul><li>There are quite a lot of Van Dorstens known in the region between 1600 and 1900. However, nothing was found in Dortmund at all (source Ancestry).<\/li><li>A lot of data was found in Dinslaken between 1800 and 1900.
